U.S. Marshals on Monday arrested a man wanted for allegedly raping a child in York City.
Albert Bowman II, 33, no address provided, was arrested in the 900 block of West College Avenue, according to a news release from the marshals service.
Bowman is charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault on a child older than 11, sexual assault, indecent assault of a child less than 13, child pornography, unlawful contact with a minor and sexual abuse, contact with a minor, according to court records.
The charges stem from an incident that happened in September 2012, the release says.
He remains in York County Prison on $50,000 bail.
York City Police obtained a warrant for Bowman's arrest on Friday and contacted the U.S. Marshals Service Middle District of Pennsylvania to help track down Bowman.
Marshals were determined Bowman was still in York County and arrested him without incident. He was handed over to local authorities, the release says.
Officers from the York City Police Department, York County Sheriff's Office and the York County District Attorney's Office assisted marshals.
