Wrong way: Officers were initially dispatched to Route 30 in the area of Prospect Road, just west of Mountville, for a report of a reckless driver going east in the westbound lanes. A few seconds later the officers were alerted to a crash on Route 30 in the area of Hill Street.

When officers arrived on scene, passers-by, including an EMT, were providing first aid to the victims, police said.

The Wrightsville woman, who was driving a tan 2006 Hyundai Elantra, and the male passenger of the second car, a red Ford Taurus, were unresponsive. All three victims were then taken to the hospital, police said.

The crash closed a portion of Route 30 for roughly seven hours. It re-opened about 7:30 a.m., police said.

Police continue to investigate the crash and are being assisted by the Hempfield/Manor/Columbia Regional Crash Team as well as the North West Crash Team.
