The United Way of York County is gearing up for is 2013 fundraising program.

The nonprofit organization has announced York Hospital President Keith Noll will be the chairman for the campaign.

"What draws me to United Way is that it's local, and focuses on giving to local entities," Noll said in a statement. "These groups show results and demonstrate that they're providing quality care."

Noll also is a member of United Way of York County's Board of Directors.

"When the opportunity came to join the board, I jumped at it," he said. "The United Way helps our neighbors, and I really believe in it."

Noll, a York County native, a Dallastown Area Senior High School alumnus and a Penn State University graduate, has a proven track record of success, said Robert Woods, the United Way's executive director.

"(Noll's) leadership will undoubtedly result in raising the funds needed for the 70 programs provided through the United Way's Community Fund."

The organization's planning and goal-setting phase for the 2013 campaign has already started, according to its news release. The campaign goal amount and cabinet will be announced soon, the organization said.
