Southern Regional Police arrested two Maryland residents early Friday morning during a vehicle stop in Shrewsbury.

Omari Jennings, 22, of Owings Mills, is charged with marijuana possession with intent to deliver, possessing a firearm without a license, possession of a small amount of pot and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ashante Simmons, 20, of Randallstown, is charged with marijuana possession with intent to deliver, possession of pot and possession of drug paraphernalia.

About 2:30 a.m., police stopped the vehicle the two were in on North Main Street for a traffic violation, according to police.

Officers seized marijuana, $633 cash, a loaded handgun and pot-distribution paraphernalia from the vehicle, police said.
