The National Weather Service on Wednesday morning issued a hazardous weather outlook for Central Pennsylvania, including York.

A line of showers and isolated thunderstorms may produce strong and possibly damaging winds late this afternoon and evening, the weather service reported.

There's chance of showers after 2 p.m., with wind gusts as high as 22 miles per hour. Otherwise, the day will be partly sunny with a high near 74.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected before 11 p.m., with gusts as high as 21 miles per hour and an overnight low around 42. Between a quarter and a half of an inch of rain are possible.

But skies will be clear for a few days after the storms pass, including most of the weekend.

Thursday will be mostly sunny with a high near 62 and low around 40, according to the weather service. Friday will be sunny, with a high near 63 and a low around 40.

Skies will be partly sunny Saturday, with a high near 66 and low around 48.

Sunday is expected to be partly sunny, with a high near 67, before showers could possibly move in for the evening. The low will be around 47.
