A 13-year-old Franklin Township boy suffered injuries Monday when he was struck by a minivan while riding his bicycle in Franklin Township.

Northern York County Regional Police said the boy, whose name has not been released, was riding a bicycle southbound in the 700 block of Range End Road about 6:45 p.m. Monday.

A Dodge Caravan driven by Robert Tabler, 69, of Dillsburg, also was southbound, police said.

The teen turned left in front of the minivan as it was overtaking him and was struck by it, police said.

The boy was flown to Hershey Medical Center for his injuries, and Tabler was transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The teen is expected to survive, police said.
