Northeastern took advantage of 16 walks to roll to a 17-3 non-league baseball victory over York Tech on Thursday afternoon in Spry.

The game was ended after six innings because of the mercy rule. Northeastern erupted for nine runs in the third inning and seven more in the sixth.

Jordan Ely went the distance to get the win, allowing four hits. He struck out seven and walked one.

Cody Reeser led the Bobcats' offense with two hits, including a triple, to go with four RBIs. Jesse Sargen, Nick Sprenkle and Steve Shimkus combined for 10 walks, four stolen bases and six runs scored.

Nick Wilson (double, two RBIs) and Cyrus Tome (two hits, two runs scored) led Tech.

Northeastern improved to 4-3, while Tech fell to 1-8.
