A fire that destroyed a mobile home in Shrewsbury Township Wednesday afternoon and left two adult brothers homeless was intentionally set, according to police.
Trooper Bradley Dunham, a state police fire marshal, said he has ruled the blaze an arson.
Robert E. Martin and David W. Martin lived in the trailer at 12870 Glen Brook Court, according to police. The brothers are now being assisted by the York-Adams chapter of the American Red Cross.
Dunham estimated damage at $20,000 to $25,000 for the trailer and everything inside it, he said.
The brothers weren't home when the fire started, Dunham said.
Flames spread to nearby vegetation, causing a brush fire that was contained to half- to three-quarters of an acre, Glen Rock Assistant Fire Chief Mike Naylor said.
Crews were called to the scene about 1:40 p.m. It took them about 10 minutes to get the trailer fire under control, and about a half-hour to put out the brush fire, Naylor said.
No one was hurt.
