Giant Food Stores on Thursday announced it removed from sale three varieties of Farm Rich snack products after Rich Products Corp. issued a food recall.

The following snack products were recalled because of possible contamination with E.coli bacteria:

-Farm Rich Mini Quesadillas Appetizers, UPC 04132235635, 18 oz.

-Farm Rich Mini Pizza Slices, UPC 04132235643, 22 oz.

-Farm Rich Mozzarella Bites, UPC 04132237443, 22 oz.

All three products have sell-by dates of Jan. 1 through Sept. 29, 2014.

Customers who purchased the product are advised to discard any unused portions and take their purchase receipts to Giant for a full refund.

Symptoms of E.coli exposure may include stomach cramps and diarrhea (which could include bloody stools), according to a news release.

Most healthy adults can recover completely within a week, according to a news release, but some people could develop a form of kidney failure. The kidney failure is most likely to occur in young children and the elderly, the release said.
