Sunshine, warmth, rain and some snowflakes. Weatherwise, Easter weekend seems to have a little bit of everything in store for York County.

"Saturday will be mostly sunny, high in the lower 50s, with northwest winds going 5 to 10 miles per hour," said Tony Mach, meteorological technician with the National Weather Service. "Then on Easter Sunday, 80 percent chance of rain, but no rain until late morning towards noon."

Forecasts show that temperatures in the mid-50s are in store for the Easter weekend, with a dry Saturday and a soggy Sunday, according to Eric Finkenbinder, meteorologist with WHTM abc27.

"There will be a lot of sunshine on Saturday, so that will be good," he said. "It will be dry on Easter morning for those attending sunrise services.

Unfortunately, on Sunday afternoon and evening there will be rain showers. Easter Sunday will have a wet ending."

Andy Mussoline, meteorologist with AccuWeather, also is predicting Easter rain that will eventually taper off in the evening.

"We're talking steady, moderate rain, no risk of flooding," he said. "It will be a good soaker Sunday afternoon."

Also, rain and snow are expected overnight Sunday into Monday, according to Mach. However, there will be no accumulation, he said.

The 50-degree weather will continue Monday, Mach said. However, a cold front passing through the area Monday night will knock down temperatures to the mid-40s on Tuesday, Mach said.

Tuesday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the mid-40s, Finkenbinder said.

"There's a chance for rain and snow early Tuesday," he said. "Otherwise, we'll have a mostly sunny Tuesday."
