Police are looking for a man and his accomplice who stole a truck from a Manchester Township business early Tuesday morning.

State police found the truck abandoned on Mount Rose Avenue near Interstate 83 about half an hour after it was stolen, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

An employee of Penske Trucking, 10 Winship Road, saw a black man roaming around a fenced-in parking lot and then get into a 2010 International box truck about 3:40 a.m. and went to get a co-worker, police said.

When the employee and the co-worker went back outside, both the man and the truck were gone. Officers discovered the man got into the parking lot by cutting a hole in the fence, police said.

State police recovered the truck, valued at $65,000, a little after 4 a.m. Its ignition had been tampered with. Tire tracks indicate a second vehicle stopped and picked up the driver of the truck, police said.

Police describe the thief as a black male in his mid-30s who has at least one gold front tooth and was last seen wearing a blue hooded windbreaker, police said.
