The week is getting off to a wet start in York, as rain and snow are expected through Tuesday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
Flurries started to fall late Sunday morning, with less than a half inch of accumulation expected.
Sunday temperatures are expected to reach a high near 40, and light winds will reach 9 mph, according to the weather service.
A chance of snow is also expected after 1 a.m. Monday, when temperatures will hit a low around 29. New snow accumulation will also be less than a half inch, according to the weather service.
Snow will continue during the morning commute and mix with rain Monday afternoon. A high near 38 is expected with east winds up to 13 mph. New snow accumulation is expected to be less than an inch.
Rain will continue after 8 p.m. Monday night when the low will hover around 37. About an inch of rain is expected by Tuesday morning, according to the weather service.
Light rain will continue Tuesday morning with a high near 48 and will dry up Tuesday night when the low is 27.
Sunny weather is expected to return to York on Wednesday and last the rest of the week, with highs in the mid-40s.
