West York Police charged two teenage boys with robbery and assault charges after they allegedly beat up a fellow teen and stole his bicycle.

Both 13-year-old boys, one of whom lives in the 100 block of Cottage Place in York City and the other in the 1200 block of West King Street in West York, were charged with robbery, simple assault, theft and receiving stolen property, according to police.

On Jan. 24, a 13-year-old boy was assaulted as he was robbed of his bicycle in the area of North Adams and West Market streets as he was coming home from school, police had said.

Police found the bike a short time later and both teens admitted their involvement in the robbery and the assault to police, police said.
