A Jackson Township home was broken into Saturday as its owner was away for a few hours.

The resident of the home in the 3200 block of Ruppert Road left about 2 p.m., and when she returned at 7 p.m., she found her front door open and a light in the garage on, according to Northern York County Regional Police.

Jewelry, including watches, earrings and necklaces, was stolen from the master bedroom, police said.
