West Manchester Township Police are investigating the suspicious deaths of two people after their bodies were found in a mobile home Tuesday.
Police were called to a mobile home in Lawson Mobile Home Park, just off North Emigs Mill Road, about 12:40 p.m., said detective Jeffrey Snell.
Inside they found the bodies of an elderly woman and a middle-aged man.
Police are treating the deaths as suspicious until an exact cause is determined, Snell said.
Autopsies on the bodies will be performed at Allentown's Lehigh Valley Hospital on Thursday, he said.
Police are not releasing the names of the man and woman at this point, and it appears they don't have any remaining family, the detective said.
The York County Forensic Team, township police and the York County Coroner's Office remained at the home into the evening hours to process the scene.
Found: Michael Perry, who lives beside the mobile home, said a mother and son lived in the mobile home.
The man moved in with his mother about three years ago, Perry said, adding that they became more and reclusive and paranoid to the point that they'd padlock the front door when they left in fear of their home being burglarized.
After not seeing them since late last week, Perry went to the home and knocked on its door Sunday, Monday and Tuesday but no one answered.
After not getting a response Tuesday, he had a neighbor call 911.
"I figured it was the best thing to do since nobody seen hide nor hair for the past couple days," Perry said.
