Giant Food Stores on Monday announced a food recall issued by Food for Life Baking Company.

The California-based maker of yeast-free, gluten-free, diabetic-friendly and vegan products recalled varieties of its Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Grain Cereals due to undeclared almond on the ingredient labels.

Three cereals are included in the recall: Ezekiel 4:9 Cereal - Original, 16 oz., UPC 073472002550; Ezekiel 4:9 Cereal - Golden Flax, 16 oz., UPC 073472002568; Ezekiel 4:9 Cereal - Cinnamon Raisin, 16 oz., UPC 073472002574.

Giant has received no reports of illness due to the undeclared allergen. But the grocery chain is urging customers with an almond allergy to discard any unused portions and bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.

Symptoms of an almond allergy develop within a few minutes to two hours after consumption. Allergic reactions include hives, flushed skin or rash, tingling or itchy sensation in the mouth, swelling of the face, lip or tongue, vomiting or diarrhea, abdominal cramps, coughing or wheezing, dizziness, swelling of the throat and vocal cords, difficulty breathing and loss of consciousness.
