The Dover girls' basketball team dropped its District 3-AAAA third-place game to Central Dauphin East on Thursday night, 58-44.

The game was played at Northern York High School.

For the Eagles, Megan Lokhaiser had 11 points, including three 3-pointers. Central Dauphin East improved to 20-6.

Dover (25-3) will enter the PIAA State Class AAAA Tournament as the No. 4 seed from District 3. In their first-round state game on Friday, March 8, the Eagles will face the fourth-place team from District 1 -- either Bayard Rustin or Upper Dublin. The site and time for that game has yet to be determined.

OTHER GIRLS' BASKETBALL

LANCASTER CATHOLIC 62, EASTERN 54: At East Pennsboro High School, Eastern led 31-30 at halftime, but couldn't hold on in their District 3-AAA fifth-place game.

Lancaster Catholic outscored the Golden Knights 32-23 in the second half.

Morgan Thomas led Eastern with 17 points. Elizabeth Myers and Leah Myers added a combined 24 points for Eastern. Porscha Speller scored 21 points for Lancaster Catholic (27-1).

Eastern (18-9) will take on the District 12 champion in the first round of the state AAA playoffs on Saturday, March 9, at a site and time to be determined.
