A Delta man used his truck to block the path of alleged thieves who police said were trying to steal his scrap metal and other items.
State police arrived at 207 Main St. about 2:45 p.m. on Feb. 12 to find that resident Brandon Doyle Jones, 39, used his truck to stop James Robert Eddy Jr., 24, and his 16-year-old male alleged accomplice from leaving his property with a pickup truck load of allegely stolen scrap metal, police said.
Among the items found in the bed of the pickup truck Eddy and the teenager were in were a riding lawnmower, horseshoes and other scrap metal, police said.
Eddy, of 404 Main St., is charged with corruption of minors, attempted theft, and conspiracy to commit theft and two counts of theft, according to online court documents.
He also faces charges stemming from a Feb. 3 incident.
Eddy is scheduled to be arraigned before district judge John Olwert on charges of burglary, theft and criminal trespass, documents state.
The 16-year-old, whose name was not released by police, is charged with theft, according to state police.
