A New York City man was fatally shot in the head Wednesday night in Columbia, Lancaster County, police said.

It happened about 10:15 p.m. at a home in the 200 block of North Third Street, according to Columbia Police.

Parrish Thaxton, 36, of the Bronx, was found dead inside the home by responding officers, police said.

Police in York and Lancaster counties were looking for the shooter late Thursday night.

Mario Casanova-Lanzo, 36, of Lancaster, was later captured in Lancaster County and is being charged with homicide and burglary, police said.
