Jen Eiben and her family thought they were going to Walt Disney World in Florida this week to enjoy some Disney magic and then take part in a half-marathon.
Along the way, the York Township family got picked to appear on national television, played some silly games with talk show hosts and won $500.
"That was just a fluke," Eiben said with a laugh.
Jen, her husband, John, and her daughters, Yael, 11, and Maya, 9, appeared Wednesday morning on "Live with Kelly and Michael," which has been broadcasting from Disney all week.
The Eibens had to audition for show producers last weekend, trying odd ball tricks such as Hula hooping, before being selected for the "Disney Family Face-Off" against a Florida family.
The Eibens had to "Find the Mickey" by finding Mickey Mouse-adorned objects in a ball pit, a tub of water and whipped cream pies, using just their mouths in the latter two events.
Co-host Michael Strahan, a former NFL star, coached the Eibens to victory.
Jen Eiben said her family is thrilled; her daughters, both Dallastown Area Intermediate School students, dubbed it "really cool."
The "awesome trophy" they won might be a problem, though, as it's quite big.
"We don't know how we're going to get it home," Eiben said, joking.
All is not done for the Eibens. They still have to run a family 5K Saturday. Then, on Sunday, Jen and John will run in the "Princess Half-Marathon."
The segment aired Wednesday morning but is available online at www.livekellyandmichael.com.
