A York City man was fatally shot during an altercation in front of an east-side bar early Sunday morning, officials said.

Trevahn Kent, 21, of Vander Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene about 2:30 a.m., according to the York County Coroner's Office.

He was shot during an altercation in front of Temptations bar, 617 E. Market St., and was able to run a short distance before collapsing, the coroner's office said.

His body was found to the rear of 601 E. Market St., officials said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday at Allentown's Lehigh Valley Hospital.
