A Windsor Township man must serve at least 20 months in prison for causing a drug- and alcohol-fueled crash that badly injured a York City woman.

Calvin Orr II, 26, of 2999 East Prospect Road, pleaded guilty Friday to driving under the influence and aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI.

As part of a negotiated plea agreement, he was sentenced to 20 months to five years in state prison, senior deputy prosecutor Jared Mellott said.

He caused a crash that left then-29-year-old Liz Brito in a wheelchair.

"She may never walk again," Mellott said.

Orr also was ordered to pay Brito about $20,000 in restitution, mostly for medical expenses, the prosecutor said.

Drunk, high: Spring Garden Township Police said the crash happened at

6:48 p.m. June 2 in the 1000 block of Mount Rose Avenue, near the Albemarle Street intersection.

At the time, Orr was high on marijuana and his blood-alcohol level was 0.14 percent, according to Mellott. In Pennsylvania, an adult is driving drunk at 0.08 percent.

Orr was driving an Oldsmobile Cutlass eastbound when it drifted to the right and struck Brito's parked Ford Expedition, police said. Brito had just parked her SUV and was walking in front of it when the crash happened, police said.

The force of the impact pushed the Expedition into Brito, knocking her down and pinning her, according to police.

"She was pinned between her SUV and the Dodge Caravan parked in front of her vehicle," Mellott said.

Brito suffered severe injuries, including several broken vertebrae and broken ribs, the prosecutor said.
