The Dover girls' basketball team finished off a perfect regular season on Tuesday night, but it wasn't easy.

The Eagles battled their way to a 38-36 triumph over Susquehannock in Glen Rock.

Winning close games is nothing new for Dover. The Eagles have won five games by five points or less and a dozen games by 10 points or less.

Dover finished the regular season at 22-0 overall and 14-0 in York-Adams Division II. It's Dover's first-ever unbeaten regular season in girls' basketball. The Eagles also claimed their first-ever York-Adams League division title.

Susquehannock, which was hurt by a 5-for-15 effort at the foul line, dropped to 15-7 and 10-4. Dover was 10-for-20 at the foul line.

Alayah Hall and Kara Funk each had 10 points for Dover. Makenzie Fancher had nine points for Susquehannock.

Dover's next game comes in the first round of the York-Adams League playoffs on Friday. The Eagles will take on Division III runner-up Kennard-Dale at 8 p.m. at Dallastown.

OTHER GIRLS' BASKETBALL

DALLASTOWN 51, SOUTH WESTERN 37: At Hanover, Amari Johnson led the Wildcats to the York-Adams Division I victory, scoring 13 points. Shae Grim knocked in 12 points for the winners, while Shannon Thomas scored 10. For the Mustangs, Amy Spigelmyer scored 12 points. Dallastown finished 12-3 in the division and 16-6 overall. Dallastown advances to the league playoffs on Friday, when the Wildcats will face Division IV runner-up Delone at Dover at 6:30 p.m.

EASTERN YORK 57, BERMUDIAN SPRINGS 34: At York Springs, Morgan Thomas led the Golden Knights with a 18 points. Teammate Elizabeth Myers knocked in 16. For the Eagles, Shannon Kuhn scored 13. Eastern improved to 16-6 overall and 11-2 in York-Adams Division III. The Knights won the division title and will now face Division I champion West York in a first-round league tournament game at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Dallastown.

KENNARD-DALE 65, YORK HIGH 35: At Fawn Grove, Sara Tarbert scored 21 points for K-D, while Katelyn Trott knocked in 12. For the Bearcats, Chyna Steele had 24 points. The Rams finished 14-8 overall and 9-4 in York-Adams Division III. The Rams will face Division II champion Dover in a first-round league playoff game at 8 p.m. Friday at Dallastown.

NORTHEASTERN 47, SPRING GROVE 43: At Spring Grove, the game was tied going into the final quarter (30-30), but the Bobcats outscored the Rockets by four in the final frame to capture the victory. Jordyn Kloster and Payton Hauck led the Bobcats with 12 points apiece, while Ashley Meyer knocked in 11. For the Rockets, Morgan Arden scored 12.

NEW OXFORD 47, CEN TRAL 28: At New Oxford, Lindsey Miller led the Colonials with 19 points. Jensen Sneeringer and Taryn Crone each scored 12 points for New Oxford.
