A 23-year-old Lewisberry man died Sunday night after being thrown from his vehicle on Interstate 83.
York County Deputy Coroner Jeffri Goodfellow said James Robert Clipp Miller was in a minor accident while heading south near mile-marker 28, about two miles north of the Strinestown exit, but he was ejected from the vehicle because he wasn't wearing a seatbelt.
Goodfellow said the man was then run over by another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene after the crash, reported about 9:05 p.m.
The cause of death was multiple blunt-force trauma due to being struck by a vehicle due to being ejected from a vehicle.
The crash closed both lanes of the highway Sunday night. The northbound lane was reopened around 11 p.m., and the southbound lane reopened about an hour later.
