Morgan Arden poured in 23 points to power Spring Grove to a 44-29 victory over York Suburban on Thursday night in girls' basketball action.

Spring Grove led just 21-19 at halftime, but used a 23-10 second-half surge to secure the win.

Alexis Gettle had 14 points for Suburban.

Spring Grove improved to 9-10. The Rockets are battling to earn a District 3-AAAA playoff berth. The top 20 teams in the power rankings earn a berth. Spring Grove sat at No. 21 going into Thursday's action.

OTHER GIRLS' BASKETBALL

SOUTH WESTERN 46, KENNARD-DALE 43: At Hanover, Amy Spiglemyer led the Mustangs, scoring 15 points. Teammate Holly Arey knocked in 10 points. For the Rams, Sara Tarbert scored a game-high 27 points, while teammate Katelynn Trott scored 10.

YORK HIGH 37, YORK COUNTRY DAY 25: At York High, the Bearcats held Country Day to single digits in every quarter. Chyna Steele led York High with 17 points. Logynn Fuller had 11 of YCD's 25 points.
