The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for York and several surrounding counties from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday evening.
Heavy rain from scattered thunderstorms beginning Wednesday afternoon could produce flooding.
The showers will begin after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, with between one to two inches possible overnight, according to the National Weather Service.
Snow melt will add to rising stream levels, and river flooding is possible into Thursday.
Thursday will be partly sunny with highs near 40.
