Speed limit restrictions put in place on area highways during Friday afternoon's snowstorm were lifted at 10 p.m., PennDOT announced.
Those restrictions were enacted at around 4 p.m., lowering the speed limit on many state highways to 45 mph.
Highways affected included I-83 in York, Cumberland and Dauphin counties and U.S. Route 15 in Adams, York and Cumberland counties.
A rash of accidents were reported during the late afternoon and early evening hours, at the height of the storm.
But as of 11 p.m., emergency crews were on the scene of just two accidents in York County, one in Shrewsbury and one in Hanover. Both were reported to York County 911 as non-injury accidents.
