The Spring Grove Area School Board is seeking a replacement after a board member had to resign.
Michael Brookhart, who has been on the board since 2001, is moving out of the district. He submitted his resignation at the Wednesday board meeting.
Brookhart has been board treasurer since 2006, said Lisa Smith, district spokeswoman. He'll serve until Feb. 6.
Smith said the board will hold interviews for the replacement. Applications are available on the district website under the school board tab, as well as at the district office.
The board is looking to have the new member approved at the Feb. 20 meeting. The newly appointed member would fill out the remaining year of Brookhart's term, and would have to decide this year if he or she wants to seek election for a full term.
