There aren't many places a girl can find an authentic Coach bag for $18, but a new shop in York County is making that possible.
Closet Revival, celebrating its grand opening Friday and Saturday, is selling name-brand contemporary and vintage items 60 to 90 percent off its regular retail value from its new digs at 2709 S. Queen St. in York Township.
Nestled in Arlington Plaza, the new consignment store has been a lifelong dream of owner Marcie Walker.
"I earned my business and fashion degree 20 years ago and always wanted to do this," she said.
She put her dreams on pause while working as a real estate agent and raising a family, but now the store is her livelihood.
"Now was the right time," Walker said.
Her industry education is evident by the way she chose to dress up her store window for Friday's grand opening. Green-called the hottest color of the season by several New York fashion houses-is prominently displayed in different ways among three outfits. In one outfit, it's a green blazer; another features green pants and a black shawl, and the third outfit pairs a green J.Crew sweater with a houndstooth skirt.
"There's something here for everyone," Walker said.
The store carries women's sizes from juniors to plus, and men's apparel is sold there as well.
Closet Revival also sells, handbags, shoes and accessories.
The grand opening specials on Friday and Saturday include refreshments, giveaways and a buy one, get one half-off sale.
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
