A Monday afternoon fire at a Penn Township home displaced two adults and their teenage children.
The family of four is being assisted by the York-Adams Chapter of the American Red Cross, according to a news release from the Penn Township Department of Fire/Rescue Services.
Township and Hanover firefighters were dispatched to 159 McAllister St. at 12:40 p.m., Fire Chief Jan Cromer said in the news release.
Crews found light smoke coming from the second floor of the two-story home and fire in a second floor bedroom.
Firefighters had the blaze under control in five minutes, the chief said.
The house sustained moderate smoke damage throughout the second floor and moderate fire damage in the bedroom.
Damage is estimated at $45,000. No one was injured, Cromer said.
