Two males who tried to carjack a York City woman on Friday morning ended up with only the lunch she'd packed herself for work, police said.
According to York City Police, Gail Hendrick, 55, was getting into her vehicle, which was parked in the 300 block of West Philadelphia Street, about 5:35 a.m.
Two males approached her Toyota Camry, one on the driver side, the other on the passenger side, police said.
The male on the driver side told Hendrick to get out of her car and give him all her money, but she refused, according to police.
Hendrick started to blow her car's horn, causing the would-be carjackers to run to a waiting vehicle and take off, police said. That's when Hendrick noticed her packed lunch was missing from her passenger seat, police said.
