A missing male hiker has been found in Lower Windsor Township.

A fire official said the man was exposed to cold water while he was lost but declined to say whether or not the man was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Casey Smith, deputy fire chief of Community Fire Co. in Craley said the man became separated from his hiking group along Fishing Creek in the area of Fishing Creek Road.

The man was found a little after 7 p.m.

Fire and state police personnel are searching for a missing hiker in Lower Windsor Township.

Crews were initially dispatched to the area of Fishing Creek Road, near the Susquehanna River, at 6:46 p.m., according to York County 911.

A search and rescue team from Lancaster County was since been summoned to the area and a state police air unit is expected to join the search, according to 911 radio transmissions.

Crews are conducting the search as the thermometer hovers just above the freezing point.
