Though it feels more like winter in York County today, weekend weather will be somewhat warmer - and windier - according to the National Weather Service.

After a frosty, mostly clear Friday evening, temperatures will climb to about 50 degrees in the York area on a sunny Saturday, with winds of up to 14 mph.

Sunday is forecast to live up to its name, with clear skies and a high of 42 degrees. Expect sustained winds as high as 23 mph in the afternoon and gusts of up to 37 mph.

The sun should last through the work week, but the mild spell will be broken by Monday, according to the weather service. Temperatures will peak near 34 degrees on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and in the mid-20s later in the week.
