Two York-area stores had to be evacuated over the weekend in separate incidents, officials said.
The Walmart at 1800 Loucks Road in West Manchester Township was evacuated about 9 p.m. Friday after the store received a bomb threat, township police said.
Local officers, state police and bomb-sniffing K-9 dogs searched the store and found nothing, police said.
Walmart reopened after about two hours, police said.
The Big Lots store at 2980 Whiteford Road in Springettsbury Township had to be evacuated about 11:20 a.m. Sunday for a gas leak, according to York Area United fire personnel.
A rooftop heating unit was leaking gas, but the problem was fixed quickly by turning off gas and power to the unit, authorities said. Customers were allowed back inside after about an hour.
