Central York High School graduate Aurielle Mosley, a 6-foot, 2-inch senior captain at Millersville University, has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Division Women's Basketball Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
Mosley has helped the Marauders to an 8-3 record, including a 5-2 mark in the PSAC East. Mosley had back-to-back double-doubles last week to give her the 39th and 40th of her career. In a 68-39 win against Slippery Rock Friday, the senior went for 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting and pulled down 10 boards. In a 69-64 loss to Edinboro, Mosley had 16 points and 12 rebounds.
For the year, Mosley is averaging 14.6 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

YORK HIGH GRAD FREELAND HONORED: York High graduate Aignee Freeland has been named the PSAC West Women's Basketball Freshman of the Week for the third time this season.
The 6-foot, 3-inch Freeland, who plays for Edinboro, saw 77 minutes of action in Edinboro's PSAC crossover road victories at Shippensburg (63-53) and Millersville (69-64). She scored eight points and brought down nine rebounds with a career-high four blocks at Millersville. At Shippensburg, Freeland netted six points with 12 rebounds, including seven on defense, and three blocks.
For the season, Freeland stands second on the team in rebounds (7.3 per game) and fourth in scoring (7.0 per game).
