Six people were shot at a party early Saturday morning in York City after a man opened fire on guests, police said.

Police found the gunshot victims about 1:30 a.m. in the 600 block of Manor Street, where the party was being held, and nearby on West Cottage Place, according to a news release.

Police said the shooter had been kicked out of the the party, which charged a cover. He returned and began firing at guests, which "promped others to return fire," according to the release. Three guns were found at the scene.

Two of the victims were taken to York Hospital by private vehicles, police said. The other four were transported by ambulance. All are York City residents.

Khalic Cross, Anthony Davis and Quesan Brown, all 18, were listed in stable medical condition as of 6:30 Saturday morning. Troyvon Breeland and Laquaysha Franklin, both 19, also were in stable condition. A 17-year-old was listed in guarded medical condition, according to the release.
