The York City of York Department of Fire/Rescue Services has a limited supply of carbon monoxide detectors available for city residents free of charge.

On request, firefighters will go to a property and install a carbon monoxide detector.

Residents can call the fire chief's office at 854-3921 to schedule a time for detector installation.
