A York City man was indicted in federal court in Harrisburg Wednesday on a drug trafficking charge.
On Nov. 28, local law enforcement officers arrested 31-year-old August Ranalli after an undercover operation outside of his city home, according to U.S. Attorney Peter Smith.
During the operation, Ranalli was found to have almost half of a kilogram, which translates to about a pound, of crack cocaine on him, Smith said in a news release.
If found guilty of the crime, Ranalli faces up to life in prison and a fine. However, a judge will weigh a number of factors, including the nature and seriousness of the allegations, which could reduce the penalty.
Online court documents did not list an attorney for Ranalli, and a phone listing for him could not be found.
