York Catholic High School graduate Jacob Iati scored 21 points to help Albany win its sixth straight game on Wednesday night with a 70-61 non-league triumph over South Carolina State.
The win was Albany's second against the Bulldogs (4-6) this season after the Great Danes (9-2) took an 83-55 decision on Nov. 20.
Iati was 7-of-13 shooting from 3-point range, setting a career high for attempts and tying his career best for makes. Albany's six-game winning streak is the program's longest since the 2006-07 team won eight in a row.
Iati also had three rebounds, a steal and an assist. For the season, Iati is averaging 16.3 points per game, which is second on the team.
