York will have a foggy, rainy day to start the work week, but the weather will look better as the week goes on.
York and the surrounding counties have areas of dense fog early Monday morning, with visibility of less than half a mile, according to the National Weather Service. The fog should lift around 10 a.m., and the day will continue to be rainy, with thunderstorms possible after 2 p.m. Monday's high will be 65, and winds will be from the south at 8-11 mph, with gusts up to 24 mph.
More showers are likely Monday night, with a low of 40, the forecast said. Winds will shift from the southwest to the northwest after midnight, and gusts up to 26 mph are possible. Up to half an inch of rain is expected Monday and Monday night.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 49 and low of 30, the NWS said. Winds will be from the northwest at 7-13 mph.
Wednesday through Saturday will be mostly sunny, with highs in the upper 40s and lows around 30, the forecast said.
