Halestorm, the Grammy-nominated rock band with ties to Red Lion, is set to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" Tuesday night. The show begins at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.

Also on the bill Tuesday are two Kardashian sisters and Adam Driver from HBO's "Girls."

Reported in December: Two siblings from Red Lion who cut their musical teeth playing at places like the York Fair and the Tourist Inn in Hellam Township have gotten the nod for the music industry's highest honor.

Elizabeth Hale, who goes by the vowel-free name "Lzzy," and brother Arejay Hale, the two members of the hard rock band Halestorm, are nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for their hit song "Love Bites (So Do I)."

Their competition in the category includes genre powerhouses such as Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Megadeth and Marilyn Manson. The group Lamb of God is also nominated in the category.

Halestorm has put out two records through Atlantic Records and is currently on a tour that includes Germany, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Austria. The band is scheduled to play at Club Fever in South Bend, Ind., Friday night.

Their latest album, "The Strange Case of...," rose to No.1 on Billboard's hard rock album chart after its April release. It features the nominated song, as well as hits "Daughters of Darkness" and "I Miss the Misery."

In July, Lzzy Hale told The York Dispatch the band's success has been surreal after having gotten a humble start that included playing at Friendly's restaurants.

"We're getting free ice cream, because what are they going to pay two kids?" Hale said.

She said the Tourist Inn and the Rusty Nail (now Underdog) bar in Harrisburg gave the band some of its first gigs.

"I remember being excited about having our name on the marquee at the Tourist Inn," she said.

Background: The Hales grew up in Red Lion and started actively writing and performing original music in 1997, when he was 10 and she was 13 years old. They went to private school to help continue their career, signing with Atlantic in 2005.

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be held on Feb. 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on CBS at 8 p.m.
