Christmas Magic -- Rocky Ridge County Park's annual festival of lights -- will be closed Friday, Dec. 7, because of wet conditions, according to the county's parks department.

Trails at Rocky Ridge, Kain and Spring Valley county parks will be closed to horses and bicycles on Friday as well, officials said, also due to soggy conditions.

The 29th-annual Christmas Magic features nearly 600,000 lights and runs through Dec. 31 at the 3699 Deininger Road park.

Lights, holiday scenes and musical entertainment fill the half-mile walking trail and five enclosed heated pavilions.

Except for Dec. 7, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, the display will be open from 6 to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and

Rocky Ridge County Park's 29th annual Christmas Magic Festival of Lights runs through Dec. 31. This year, lights -- nearly 600,000 of them -- have been changed to LED to save energy.

Admission is $8 for adults, $7 for people 60 and older, $6 for kids ages 4 to 12, and free for children 3 and under.

Visitors can bring canned goods to donate to the York County Parks Ranger Food Drive. The items will be given to the York County Food Bank.

Holiday revelers looking for a lighted celebration Friday night could attend York City's annual Light Up Night.

The event starts at 4:45 p.m. on Continental Square and runs until 8 p.m.
