Right now it's just a concrete frame, but in about six months it will be Pier 1 Imports' fourth location in York County.
Springettsbury Township Manager John Holman said the Fort Worth, Texas-based retailer will open in York Town Center next spring.
The store, which sells decorative home furnishings and gifts, is being constructed next to York Buffet, which is the last parcel open in the center along Concord Road.
Adjacent to the interchange of Route 30 and Mount Zion Road, the 273,404-square-foot shopping and dining hub is anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, Christmas Tree Shops and Dick's Sporting Goods.
Restaurants, such as Chili's, Chipotle, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, and Longhorn Steakhouse, are also part of the development.
"All the businesses have done very well there," Holman said.
Pier 1 Imports executives could not be reached Thursday for comment.
The retailer has three other locations in York County: 1550 Rodney Road in West Manchester Township, 606 Shrewsbury Commons Ave. in Shrewsbury and 422 Eisenhower Drive in Hanover.
