A York-area man driving south on Interstate 83 apparently became sick before losing control of his car, which went off the highway, flipped over and landed on a nearby road Tuesday afternoon, police said.
State police said early indications are that James Sawor Sr., 57, suddenly became ill just north of the Emigsville exit (Exit 24) about 12:20 p.m.
His Oldsmobile Intrigue veered off the highway, damaged a snow fence and landed upside down on Crone Road, police said. A portion of that road runs parallel to I-83.
Sawor was in satisfactory condition Wednesday at York Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.
