A 21-year-old Delta area man faces numerous charges, including DUI and resisting arrest, after leading state police on a chase last month.
Michael Thomas Johns, 21, of Paper Mill Road in Lower Chanceford Township is free on $15,000 bail. He is charged with DUI, fleeing and eluding, reckless endangerment and resisting arrest and was also cited with over a dozen traffic violations, according to online court documents.
A trooper attempted to pull over the vehicle Johns was driving when it rolled through a stop sign at the intersection of Main Street and Broad Street Extended at 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 17, police said.
Instead of stopping, Johns fled police at reckless speeds before jumping out of the still moving vehicle at a corn field along Paper Mill Road, police said.
He fled on foot through the corn field but was arrested by trailing troopers, police said.
