An Etters-area man who drove himself to the state police barracks in Carlisle volunteered the whole truth and nothing but the truth, they said.

The truth got him arrested.

Ty Eugene Delp Jr., 31, no street address given, drove to the barracks about 4:30 a.m. Nov. 20, walked into the lobby and told a civilian employee his name, police said.

Delp also admitted he has no driver's license, was severely intoxicated and was driving a stolen vehicle, according to police.

Troopers looked into his claims, determined he was telling the truth and arrested him for driving under the influence and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
