Two puppies were stolen from a Springettsbury Township pet store earlier this month.

A Jack Russell terrier puppy was stolen from Gettys Pet Shop, 2908 E. Market St., on Nov. 12, according to township police.

A day later, an old English bulldog puppy was stolen by two Hispanic men. The men removed the puppy from its crate as a store employee assisted another customer, police said.

The men left the store with the puppy hidden under one of the men's coats. Once to the parking lot, they got into a black older model Ford pickup truck that was last seen traveling east on East Market Street, police said.

Police do not know if the two crimes are related.

Anyone with any information about either of these crimes is asked to contact police at 757-3525.
