The Pennsylvania House Republican Caucus on Tuesday re-elected Rep. Stan Saylor, R-Windsor Township, to Majority Whip for the 2013-14 legislative session.
The leadership role is the third-highest Republican job in the House, behind Speaker of the House and majority leader. Saylor was first elected to the post last year, for the 2011-2012 session, and has served in the House since 1992.
During the caucus election, Republicans re-elected Rep. Sam Smith, R-Punxsutawney, as speaker of the House and Rep. Mike Turzai as majority leader.
In last week's election, Republicans increased their majority from 109 to 111 members, retaining control of the state House for the second session in a row.
