The South Central Pennsylvania Genealogical Society will meet at 2:15 p.m. Sunday to discuss Camp Security.

Camp Security is the only undeveloped Revolutionary War prison encampment site in the United States and was established at the end of July 1781 on land presently located in Springettsbury Township. The prison camp housed as many as 1,500-2,000 British privates, and their noncommitted officers and their families, captured at the pivotal battles of Saratoga and Yorktown.

Jonathan Stayer has been studying Camp Security for more than 30 years and will be the featured presenter at the meeting.

The society will meet at Good News Free Will Baptist Church, 530 Locust Grove Road, York PA 17402.
