A section of Route 116 in Spring Grove and Jackson Township will be closed Wednesday night as crews replace utility poles damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Met-Ed will work in conjunction with Verizon and the state Department of Transportation to replace the 11 utility poles, said Kathy Seilhamer, Met-Ed spokeswoman.
Route 116 will be closed from Glenview Road in Spring Grove to just east of the railroad tracks near Little Creek Golf Course in Jackson Township.
Work will take place during the nighttime hours, and the road should be reopened about 11 p.m., Seilhamer said.
